About

Mission

KoreKit aims to equip ESL teachers in South Korea and across the globe with engaging games and resources that make learning English fun and motivating for students.

Background

During my time teaching in South Korea, I discovered just how much students responded to games as part of the English learning process. In fact, there wasn’t a single class where the phrase “Teacher, game?” went unheard. While traditional presentations and PowerPoints were easy enough to create or find on other ESL resource sites, nothing compared to the excitement a fun and animation-filled game could inspire.

As someone who enjoys video games, I drew inspiration from them and began developing interactive PowerPoint game lessons that brought English learning to life. Watching my students’ joy and attentiveness grow during these activities made me feel that I had fulfilled my responsibility as a teacher.

Although my time teaching in South Korea has ended, my enjoyment for creating engaging ESL resources continues. I want to empower other teachers to bring the same energy, fun, and impact into their classrooms, helping students enjoy learning English as much as I saw my students enjoy it.
