Grade 5, Cheonjae textbook (Ham – 2015) – Lesson 6: What will you do this summer?

This game is not my resource – credit belongs to the original owner.

Game Title: Sleeping Elephants
Game Concept: This game should be played in teams of 4 and each team member should be assigned a number 1-4. All students should begin the game “sleeping” with their heads down/eyes closed. Call out students in order by their number to “wake up” and show that student their assigned word/phrase to remember and go back to sleep/put their head down. Tell the next student (#2) to wake up and show their assigned word and then go back to sleep/put their head down. Continue this with students #3 and #4. All students should wake up after everyone’s seen their assigned word(s) and the teams should work together to put their words in order to create a key phrase/sentence. A practice round is included in the PowerPoint.
